Having not been to the World ATM Congress for a few years I thought that this year I would visit Madrid and attend. Prior to leaving the UK we had some very cold weather and snow was causing disruption but I managed to arrive in Madrid on time and get to see some old friends and work colleagues. On the eve of the show I caught up with three friends that I have been working with in the aviation industry for over 20 years, we had a good tapas meal, drunk plenty of Rioja and talked about old times. I had planned to visit the show for two days and I thought the show was smaller than when I visited a few years back. I got to talk with most people that I was looking for and I got some good feedback for the FPAssistant suite. I also managed to find some old colleagues that we use to have regular meetings with when I was part of the SIG for the writing of Doc 9906 Volume 3 Flight Procedure Design Software Validation.
I enjoyed my short time in Madrid as I stayed in the centre and I left thinking that I should probably visit again in March 2019!
